I made a new type of fudge this weekend that I am very happy with! Mint Oreo Fudge is a new twist on the Peppermint Oreo Fudge that I made for the first time about a year and a half ago.
By using Cool Mint Oreos instead of regular Oreos I was able to omit the peppermint extract that I used in the original version. I liked the original version- but didn’t love it. I felt that the peppermint extract gave it a weird aftertaste.
I also used dark chocolate chips instead of white chocolate chips to give this fudge a richer taste.
This fudge is so delicious- I highly recommend making this as soon as possible!
Mint Oreo Fudge
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 (7 ounce) jars marshmallow cream
3/4 cup butter
2 cups dark chocolate chips
1 Package Cool Mint Oreos- Crushed (I used my food processor and left some bigger pieces)
Directions
- Line 13×9 pan with parchment paper.
- Combine sugar, butter, and milk in medium saucepan. Bring to full rolling boil; stirring constantly. Boil constantly for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips, cream and crushed cookies. Pour into prepared pan.
- Refrigerate until firm. Lift from pan. Remove parchment paper and cut into pieces.
